Mango Tree makes one of the best pad thai I've ever tasted. I'm very satisfied with everything I've tried as well.

Everyone was busy sniffing the Zen Zest scents during dinner. It was my first time trying out almost everything to be honest and what I like about the collection is the youthful and fresh feeling it gives  after you spray. Reminds me of my highschool days hehe. My fave out of everything are the Martini and Bellini.

Kudos to Liz Lanuzo for organizing/hosting a very fun event. We had a fun game and our team almost won but Shen and Martha was really good and fast so they beat us. The lucky team won a spa treat. Congratulations guys!

Took home some products which I didn't know Zen Zest offers. And can I say I love them all? In fact, I'm using everything already.

Stimulating Room Fragrance. I love it when our condo smells good. It has a slight menthol scent which is so nice to sniff. Not overpowering so my baby loves it too. I spray this almost everytime I enter our room.

Tangerine and Peppermint Massage Oil. I love it when my hubby gives me back massage. It's very seldom so I really appreciate when he does that haha.

Prosperity Fragrance Oil. I actually displayed this on our living room. I hope it brings luck to us :D

The sugar collection includes:

BERRY COBBLER – A fruity recipe of raspberry raspberry and blueberry with traces of creamy vanilla.

COTTON CANDY – Has a playful. Fluffyy fragrance reminiscent of youthful innocence.

WATERMELON SORBET – Light and refreshing, this fresh mist is a great revitalize. It keeps temperature low but spirits forever high. Reminiscent of fresh and ice cold watermelons.

KEY LIME PIE – One splash is never enough. The sharp scent of green key lime and the comforting warmth of milk lingers on the skin, soothes and soul and makes you want to ask more.

VANILLA ICE CREAM – The allure of this scent is difficult to forget. The delicious scent of fresh vanilla beans and velvety goodness of milk with light honey understoneds

MANHATTAN FOR MEN – For those who wish to exude strength, this potent fragrance would be best, the essence of leather and wood combined with the softness of lemon and berries brings forth an image of mystery that never fails to seduce.

GIN AND TONIC FOR MEN – This best selling fragrance boasts of a hard-to-resist blend of fruits that go hand in hand with musky notes. A cool and refreshing scent ideal for driven men who always want to be on top of their game.

And they also have scents for our guys:

BLACK RUSSIAN FOR MEN – A scent that embodies freshness. The woody fragrance gets better with time. The longer it settles into the skin or clothing, the more head-turning it can be.

MOJITO FOR MEN – This invigorating scent is the number one choice when heading for the gym or doing some time on the court. Its aquatic quality preserves the clean shower smell and lets you get through the day like you did not break a sweat.

GIMLET FOR MEN – Its blend of cedar, saffron and amber accents has a penetrating appeal, adding an irresistible charm to the wearer. This sensual scent also contains patchouli, pine and sandalwood.

Antipolo Prenup Location: Crescent Moon Cafe

Just this month, my September bride Jac asked me to do her hair and makeup  for their prenup photoshoot at Crescent Moon Cafe in Antipolo. I was excited because it was my first time there and I saw some nice photos of the place and their food while googling on how to get there.

This is my very pretty and nice client Jac. I can't wait to see her in her wedding gown this September :D This photo was taken by Eros Photography

I asked my hubby to accompany me because when I read the directions on Crescent Moon Cafe Facebook page, I felt that I'm going to get lost haha. But we found a simpler and clearer direction on a blog (sorry I can't find it anymore) and we realized that it's very easy to get to that place. You just have to drive a little bit slower and be mindful of the signs.

Crescent moon cafe is a perfect prenup location if you want that nature theme different from the usual parks in the metro. They have a koi pond and pottery where you could take nice photos.

The cafe

We arrived earlier than expected so the staff gave us some fish food for the koi for some activity.

You can actually touch and feed the gigantic kois on the pond.

And also the place is owned by a national artist so there are some antique stuff there.

Jac and her fiance initially wanted a "Ghost (the movie)" themed prenup shoot because of their pottery but I think they're not allowing pictorial there.

And on to the food:

healthy alagaw wrap. It's kinda weird at first but it was flavorful. I like that the alagaw leaves they use for the wrap has some health benefits.

Creamy mushroom soup

Chicken Afritada yummy!

Steamed fish

Kangkong with garlic and peanuts. This is so good!

It's actually a nice place that's not too far from Manila. I liked the food and the ambiance. I just wish they add more facilities so kids and family could enjoy and stay more.

For couples who are looking for a prenup location in Antipolo, this one is worth taking a look. Visit their Facebook page for more photos and info of the place.

Estee Lauder Perfectionist Wrinkle Firming/Lifting Serum

Last week, Estee Lauder treated us with an unforgettable lunch at Masseto Restaurant
in Makati as they launched their newest product which will be available at Estee Lauder counters in the Philippines this coming September, Estee Lauder Perfectionist [CP + R] Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum.

(greeps, duck leck, crab cake benedict and dessert samples at Masseto. uber yummm!!!)

If you're seeing fine lines around your eyes, forehead and mouth already, then this product is perfect for you. It has special ingredients that helps the skin optimize its collagen building ability and its natural energy potential is boosted.

As a makeup artist, I'm always looking for products that work instantly so it was the question I first asked the Estee Lauder girls. I don't have that much fine lines yet so this product goes straight on the kit that I bring during makeup gigs.

On first application, it promises to reduce wrinkles up to 37% . The skin will also feel smoother, radiant  and more plumped.

After a week, prominent wrinkles begin to look lifted away, a new level of skin perfection emerges and skin’s density is significantly improved with a younger, firmer and more lifted look.

And after 1 month of religious application:

In clinical testing, 96% of women showed a reduction in the look of life’s lines and wrinkles.
Nearly 8 out 10 women said their skin felt significantly firmer.
Skin reaches its full potential, reclaiming a firmer, re-densified look with newfound suppleness and youthful buoyancy. Skin’s natural support structure is also fortified to help fight the look of future lines and wrinkles.
Facial contours appear more toned and defined.

I tested it right away on a bridal gig last Saturday as my client's skin concern is a little bit of dryness and fine lines around the eyes. I cleansed her face first then applied the Estee Lauder Perfectionist Serum on the concerned areas. Once it was absored by the skin, I applied a moisturizing primer prior to airbrush makeup.

Of course I didn't expect the product to work 100% but I was really glad with the improvement of her skin texture and how it minimized the lines around her eyes.

Overall, I'm impressed :) Visit the Estee Lauder counters this September to try this.

Virginia Olsen Mineral Makeup

I remember during the course of my pregnancy circa 2009, I only wear makeup during special occasions and I only use mineral makeup as it is said to be safe and free from the ingredients suspected to be harmful to our health. Yes I was very conscious with all the products that touch my skin back then. But after that, I went back to my usual routine and I haven't been able to use mineral makeups for about 2 years now.

Good thing I got to choose some samples of Virgina Olsen mineral makeup. Visit their online shop to see check out their products also.

A pot (150 g) of eyeshadow costs P150. Very reasonable right? And this pot will last for a very long long long time even if you use this everyday.

The shades I got are Lilac, Plum-lovin' and Tulips. You see some shimmers in these swatches but not that noticeable when applied on the eyes. What I like about Virginia Olsen mineral makeup is not only that they're safe to use, they're also long-wearing, weightless, water-resistant and fragrance free.

I haven't really tried them on myself that much but when I used the Tulips color on one of my bridal gigs, I love how beautiful it blended on my client's skin and how it lasted until the end of the celebration.

Wedding Makeup: Neren

Whenever I see Neren's photos on my portfolio, she always reminds me why I love what I do now. Met her during one of the bridal fairs last year when she availed the free trial makeup I offered during the fair. After a few months, she visited me again on another fair and told me that she's going me to book me already because she liked my work best of all the trial makeups she had. I was very happy when I heard that from her and got me even more motivated. Thanks Neren for that :)

She wanted a very natural look during the church ceremony and a little bit darker makeup and a change of hairstyle during the reception. She looked really lovely on that gown by Cecilio Abad's team.

Kerastase Chroma Captive

Beauty Bloggers Photo-op during the Kerastase event. Photo from Earth Rullan of

I recently attended the launch of Kerastase's Chroma Captive line at the W Tower in Fort Bonifacio. If you love coloring your hair, these are the perfect products to use right after as they help make the color and shine last for up to 40 days. coloring is kinda expensive to maintain. But it's fun and really makes a difference! So if you've invested in a good hair color, might as well invest in good after hair care products.

To test these products I got, I colored my hair last week using Revlon hair color in Medium Blonde. This is how it looks like without flash.

With Flash
