Product Review: Shu Uemura Sheer Colorless Face Powder

One of the makeup essentials for me is a loose powder. Why?..because it is used to create a smooth, finished look with a poreless effect. It also absorbs oil. Thus, making your makeup last longer.

At an event I attended several weeks ago, I was given a chance to try the Shu Uemura Sheer Colorless Face Powder. This has always been on my purse since then. =)

Shu Uemura - Leaves skin luminous and glowing with vitality. Sheer & transparent finish. Great for highlighting facial structure & shape. Packaged with a velvet-textured puff designed specifically for sheer powder application.

What I like?

Blends perfectly.
Got no bad skin reactions.
Flexible to different skin tones.
Super fine texture.
Provides a very smooth, radiant and flawless effect. Looks really great on photos.
Lasts for about 4 hours on me

What I don't like?

Price is a little too much for a loose powder.

All in all:

In makeup application, creating a perfect finish is my priority. Yes it's pricey :-( but personally, I'm willing to invest in good face products and this is one of the best I've tried.

Will I buy this again:

I haven't bought this 'coz the one I'm using is only a sample. I've been using it for weeks and I still got plenty. I'll buy this for sure. But if I could find a cheaper one that works even better, that would be great =)

Available at Rustan's Department Store.
Price:
I haven't check this at Rustan's yet but it's
$33.00/approx P1650 in the Shu Uemura site.

Thanks for the review! It's hard to use up loose powders, haha.

Very much agree on that. I always use this to set up my powder-foundation. It really leaves a fresh, matte finish. And, the staying power is way acceptable for a loose powder. But, since loose powders can be a bit messy, maybe MAC blot powder, which is a compact one, will do the same trick sans the messiness. ;)

Wow sis thanks for the review. I will definitely check this out (I can't say I'd buy it though...maybe there are cheaper alternatives. LOL)

Oooh! Looks YUM! Lately I've learned the importance of loose powder, as I've long ditched the idea. Thanks for your review, sweetie! Does wonders to us who forget about their importance. Mwah!
