FOOD POST ALERT: dinner @ Savory

My officemate Carol, who is 8 months pregnant, asked if we could have something "delightful" for dinner yesterday. By that she meant something more delicious than what we're usually having or something expensive haha. 8 months preggy but still craving a lot tsk tsk! peace Carol haha!

We were debating between Teriyaki Boy, Max's and Aveneto but when someone mentioned Savory, everybody agreed.

Location: SM Hypermart
They serve Filipino and Chinese food.

Classic Savory Chicken
P175 for this half chicken

* Served with half sliced fried banana. Lloyd ate it! hmp...Is this intended for one person only? IDTS...

The chicken was very flavorful but I can't eat it without the gravy. I love their gravy so much but you have to pay additional P5 for every additional booo! It adds sooo much to the taste. This is my dad's favorite. We used to order this yearly for his birthday. Miss you dad! =(

Yang Chow fried rice

Just a plain yellow rice with eggs and butter I think. Not the usual Yang chow you could have in other Chinese restos with green peas and carrots. Nothing special. But what I like about it is it goes well with any of their dishes. The others taste sooo good with this. =D Small amount of serving though. Pau and I can definitely finish this in an instant hahaha!

Beef Stir Fry with Broccoli

Lloyd's favorite (my ofcmate). He always requests for this everytime we eat in a Chinese resto. The beef was cooked so well. Broccolis are half cooked, a little bit crunchy just the way I like it. And the sauce was just perfect.

Chop Suey

Just the typical taste of chop suey hehe. My mom can also cook this even better. I love the squid balls they used though.

All in all...not the best but I'm satisfied with the food they serve. I love the chicken specially! They're quite affordable too so I'm definitely going back.

Hmmm...wonder where we're having dinner tonight? hehehe
