The Magic Lipstick

During a wedding gig last April, the mom-of-the-bride asked me if I could use her own lipstick on her because it's what she's been using ever since. She said she likes it because it really stays even after she eats and it doesn't dry her lips. I asked her where she bought that as the brand and packaging is unfamiliar to me. But sadly the MOB bought it abroad and she doesn't know if it's available in the Philippines.

Then when I had to go to SMX for the orientation of the upcoming bridal fair that I'll be joining, I saw this on sale at Beauty Bar for only P149.95 (me thinks!).

The look of that lippie is still fresh on my mind and according to the Beauty Bar staff, some calls it "Magic Lipstick". Without thinking twice, I bought one to try haha.

The one I got is the lightest. The others are color green and yellow which turns slightly intense red when applied on the lips.

Here's how it looks on me with a dabbing application. I'm now careful because the color goes really bright if I apply too much.

Now that I own one, I've proven that it's really long-wearing and it doesn't dry out my lips even without gloss on top. But if you have dry lips, moisturizer is needed before and after application. It also works as a great base (just be reminded to apply thinly) for your lipstick so your lips will still have that pretty tint even if your lipstick wears off. I just wish there were more shades available.

Have you tried this magic lippie? What do you think?

I think I got something like this from Ever Bilena before... it really stays even after eating! This shade looks really nice and very affordable too! :)
