Current Face Brightener: Confessions of Concealaholic by Benefit

Benefit is one of the talked-about makeup in the U.S. that I've been dying to try. But since it's not available locally, price can be a bit hefty with the shipping cost so I skipped it. A few weeks ago, I got a lot of sample Benefit products as a gift from my cousin. The Confessions of a Concealaholic kit is so far my favorite and I've been using this ever since.

It contains the brand's most famous products:

Benefit "That Gal" Brightening Face Primer - A shimmery pink primer that gives the face instant brightness. I also love how it makes my makeup last longer.

Benefit Erase Paste - Concealer for under eyes. It helps brighten that area but if you have dark undereyes, you'll have to use a corrector (me thinks)

Boi-ing Concealer 1 and 2 - I use the Concealer 1 on my highlight areas. Haven't used the other one though.

Lemod Aid - Works wonderfully for brightening and priming the lids.

Eye Bright - Pale pink brightening cream applied around tear ducts to illuminate and lighten the area.

Here's a before and after shot when I first used it:

A face that really needs concealing right? lol

Products Used:

Benefit "That Gal" Primer
Benefit Erase Paste
Benefit Boi-ing 01 (on highlight areas)
No Foundation used
Benefit Lash Gal Mascara
Benefit Lemon Aid and Eye Bright
Benefit Rouge Lipstick
Loreal Mineral Blush
Revlon Loose Powder
In2It Brow Powder

It doesn't really cover all my imperfections but I love the glow it gives to my face. It also doesn't reflect white cast on the photos even taken with flash. The only downside of this kit for me is that the shades includes are from fair to medium complexion only.

Thanks Ate Vhie for the gift!

Have you tried Benefit? I think this kit includes the best already but it you've tried one that's not, please comment?

I haven't used Benefit myself, but have friends who swear by them. The primer makes you look like you have a healthy glow.

This product can be of great use in everyday living. I experienced lots of rush make-up for weddings. But they fall short in concealing and making it elegant. We could not deny that we need to look good somehow, sometime. But what if every time? We always tend towards what is good, beautiful. This will surely heighten our view about beauty. I believe this is one of the purpose why it was made.
