Have you already seen this poster at The Body Shop's branches?

The Body Shop Autumn Trend Launch

Smoke and Fire. A very sexy, sultry and fierce make-up that is a product of The Body Shop's latest make-up collection for Autumn 2010. This look is inspired by the rich, natural, earthy colors of the changing season and autumn skies. Intense eye make-up with soft cheek and lip color.

Yesterday, I attended its launch and I'm excited to share with you the fascinating products I was able to see and try.

Kajal Liners,The Body Shop,Makeup

Kajal Eyeliners - Suggested Retail Price: Php 695.00.

Create the season’s sexy, smoky eye - essential for the Smoke & Fire look - with new Kajal Eyeliner. The intense Kajal eye-look is traditionally used in India as a protector against the evil eye, and with three shades of Kajal Eyeliner, discover a unique product that helps to define the eyes, so you can create an intensity and reflect light. Apply to the lash lines for dramatic, dreamy eyes or smudge over the eyelid for a sultry, mouldering, eyeshadow look.

The Body Shop Blushes

Autumn Leaves Compact - Suggested Retail Price 1395.00

Light up with a choice of two pressed powder compacts, each with a mix of four pearly shades pressed together in a beautiful autumn leaf design. Choose the compact to suit your skin tone, give your cheeks and d├ęcolletage a gorgeous glow with two new natural-looking palettes in soft dusky pink shades and warm russet tones.

The Body Shop lipsticks

Colourglide Lip Colour – SRP: 695.00

Natural-looking lips are the perfect contrast to the season’s smoky eye. Slick on sensuous Colourglide™ Lip Colour in the nude and soft pink tones of Soft Beige and Dusk Pink. This intensely moisturising lipstick hydrates and smoothes your lips, ideal for perfecting the hot Smoke and Fire pout. Each shade include a high percentage of colour pigments to provide intense coverage in one luscious sweep.

The Body Shop eyeshadows

Eye Colour – SRP: 595.00

Make eyes your focal point by sweeping on a flash of brilliant Eye Colour such as Midnight Blue or Velvet Green. Autumn also sees the introduction of a new shade, Golden Peach, a wonderfully warm, on-trend hue that lifts and brightens the eye area.

The Body Shop Lightening Touch

Lightening Touch – SRP: 950.00

Discover the wonder powers of Lightening Touch, a magical little wand that gives light relief to the appearance of under-eye circles, instantly brightening the skin. Its ever-so-clever formula contains ingenious little light-diffusing particles to minimise fine lines and dark shadows. Simply use around the eye area, after your foundation for a flawless-look.

the body shop mascara

Divide and Multiply Mascara – SRP: 850.00

Complete your fierce eye-look by giving lashes a major boost with Divide & Multiply Mascara in glamorous black. The ultimate one-step lengthening and separating mascara, this must-have product creates sensational, ultra-long, dark, glossy lashes in seconds without clumping or smudging.

During the event, we were given a make-up demo on how to use the achieve the Smoke and Fire look as seen on the first photo above.

In this photo is Roma, The Body Shop make-up artist, and Billie Liboro-Palabyab as the model. Roma gave us tips on foundation shades and application and covering flaws.

Here's the after shot of Billie. I love how Dens made it still wearable using a smouldering shade.

Each of us had a makeover as well. In this photo is Earth, Shen, Nikki and Tara.

Roma did my make-up here. She used the Charcoal Kajal Liner and Bronze Autumn Leaves Compact on me. Loved it :)

If I'm asked what is the must-buy item in the collection: It would be the Kajal liners for me. I love how it made achieving a smoky look easier. Just apply it on the lids then smudge with your beauty finger, brush of sponge. No sweat! You can also intensify your look more by making it as a base and applying the eyeshadow on top. Plus! It also contains Community Trade Marula oil which means that it glides on the skin easily and beneficial to the skin too.
